Mobilelithuania.com features one of the most comprehensive listings of restaurants, bars, clubs, hotels, tourist destinations, shopping, transportation guides, events, and venues in Lithuania’s six largest cities Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai, Panevėžys, and Alytus.

The site initially was launched as mobile website dedicated to the 37th Men’s Basketball Championship that took place in Lithuania in the summer of 2011. The project was sponsored by largest mobile operator in Lithuania – Omnitel (local affiliate of TeliaSonera). One of the initial requirements was that the portal should be available both on new smartphones and older feature phones, so multiple optimisations had to be made to make it work friendly on four to five year old Nokia phones. Another requirement was that it feature a web-based interactive map of the country with all the places mapped on it. This portal was probably the first web-based mobile maps solution in Lithuania. Along with mobile maps, mobile map routing was also implemented so that every visitor could find his way to the desired location.
